The weather outside is frightful and the fire really is delightful, however, today I’m presenting to you… a Poppy. During a major end-of-year computer clean and tidy, I realised I hadn’t blogged one of my favourite little girls from 2015, how remiss of me! What’s unusual about this shoot, is it was captured using natural light, which isn’t my normal way of working.
Poppy’s parents brought her along to Nogdam End, a location I suggested for the shoot owned by colleague Jessica Tuohy. A hidden gem of a place, where rustic wooden swings hang from antique trees, a hand-crafted thrown holds dominion over the paddock – and all within a fairy’s wing-span of the River Yare, which flows majestically through the magical landscape created by Jess for her posing ponies.
Although Poppy looks a picture of toddler-like elegance in the photographs here, she also displayed her adventurous side during the session. Dressed in dungarees, she was intent on eating the grass as well as the chocolate buttons mum had brought.
With the winter solstice less than nine hours away, our shortest day of the will soon pass into thoughts of Christmas, then a new year. As this will probably be my last post before the season’s festivities, may I wish you all a wonderful Christmas and a happy and healthy 2016.
Thanks Angie… We really enjoyed the experience with you. I’m extremely pleased I did my research and found you! A very enjoyable experience… you did a marvelous job. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a very personal experience which clearly reflects in the pictures – Mrs J Davey.
